With towering cliffs, rainforests and secluded side-gorges of the majestic Carnarvon Gorge National Park, we're situated just 4 km from the main walking trail.
Takarakka provides a fabulous base camp to set off and explore this magical place that has walks and trails for all ages and proficiency. You can enjoy the property's short walks and wildlife, meandering along the riverside, spot a platypus at the Platypus Pool or just sit at the peaceful lookout and watch the lingering sunsets over the magnificent ranges. Ensuited Cabins: Sleep up to 4 people, 1 Double bed and 1 bunk (all in one room, linen provided). Ceiling fan, heater, fridge, kettle and toaster provided. Minimum 2 night booking.
Self Contained Cottage: Sleep 2 in an open plan layout. 1 Double bed and a sofa (all in one room, linen provided). Fully self contained kitchen with gas stove including oven, microwave, saucepans, crockery and cutlery. Heater and fan. Personal ensuited bathroom. Minimum 2 night booking.
Taka Safari Tents: Permanent safari style tents on raised timber floor with balcony, sleeps two to five people. Great family accommodation. Light doona and pillows provided. Bring your own linen (or hire), cooking and eating utensils. Small fridge provided. Located close to large communal kitchens, BBQ and dining areas. Amenities block with hot showers nearby.
Powered Sites: Include shady, sunny or drive through sites which are all close to our modern and clean amenities. Suit Campervans, motor homes, camper trailers, buses and tents. Please provide your vehicle/caravan size when booking.
Unpowered Sites: Our campsites are on flat ground in shade or in full sun. Some to suit caravans others more suited to tents. Please advisde your accommodation type when booking.
