The Islamic Museum of Australia aims to showcase the rich artistic heritage and historical contributions of Muslims in Australia and abroad. Fascinating stories, interactive displays and exquisite art exhibits provide an insight into the Australian Muslim experience for tourists, school groups and all visitors.
There are five permanent displays; Islamic faith, Islam's contribution to civilisation, Islamic art and architecture and Australian Muslim history. The museum also hosts international and local visiting exhibitions.
Guided tours are available for school,community or private groups.
One of the highlights of the museum is the cafe, Modern Middle Eastern, that is run by Masterchef finalist 2013 Samira El-Khafir
