Challenge Shepparton was established in 2014, after a 16 year history of long course triathlon relating back to the event being previously delivered by the Shepparton Triathlon Club. Challenge Shepparton weekend offers two great races on the Sunday and is complimented by Multi-Sport activities on Saturday.
Challenge Shepparton 113 kilometre long course includes a 1.9 kilometre fresh water lake swim in Victoria Park Lake. A two-lap 45 kilometre bike course on fast, flat, cycle friendly country roads and a three-lap seven kilometre (total 21.1 kilometre) run course which crosses over the Goulburn River, winds through natural red gum forest and borders Victoria Park Lake.
The Challenge Sprint Distance race is a 700 metre swim, ride and seven kilometre run on the same course. The sprint race is ideal for beginners or those who prefer shorter distances.
The Challenge course is spectator friendly with many viewing points where you can get up and close and personal to cheer on your favourite athlete.
